FIGURE DRAWING

I believe that studying the human figure is important because it is a fundamental skill for many artists. For centuries artist have produced and examined the complexities of the human form using a variety of mediums. Drawing the figure for me emulates the diversity of our bodies’ functions, movement, and also a person’s disposition. My desire for mark making and using mixed media in my work is also illustrated by my figure drawings.
